RESUMO

Avaliação do sucesso dos implantes segundo as técnicas de carga imediata e convencional na região de maxila. Foram avaliados 68 pacientes, com um total de 344 implantes. A técnica cirúrgico-protética foi avaliada e foram descritas cinco (3,5 per cento) perdas para a técnica de carga imediata num total de 143 implantes e três (1,55 por cento) para a técnica convencional num total de 193 implantes (p=0,260). O sucesso da carga imediata é semelhante estatisticamente ao da carga convencional. DESCRITORES: Implante dentario; Maxilar superior; Prótese dentária; Osseointegraçao.

ABSTRACT

Evaluation of implant success according to immediate and conventional loading techniques in maxilla. Sixty-eight patients were evaluated, carrying out 344 implants altogether. The surgical-prosthetic technique was evaluated and had been described five losses for the immediate load technique in a total of 143 implantations and three for the conventional technique in a total of 193 implantations (p=0.260). The immediate loading success is statistically similar to the conventional loading according lo what was showed through the low number of losses.
