RESUMEN

El objetivo del presente trabajo, es el de demostrar al odontólogo la importancia de una técnica complementaria de diagnóstico, aplicada desde hace muchos años en medicina general, y no muy implementada en odontología. Se detallan sus indicaciones y la técnica de su realización. Palabras clave: punción aspirativa con aguja fina, PAAF aspiración citológica.

SUMMARY

The purpose of this paper is to show dentists the importance of complementary techniques of diagnosis, which has been applied for several years in general medicine, but not as much in dentistry. Indications has been detailed along with realization's techniques. Key Words: fine needle aspiration biopsy, PAAF aspiration cytology.
