RESUMEN
Trismus and limited oral access present a clinical challenge to prosthodontic management. An edentulous patient who developed microstomia after a maxillary tumor resection and radiation therapy is presented. The clinical procedure and the rationale for the treatment approach are discussed. lmplanted-supported prostheses were prescribed for this patient. (J Prosthet Dent 2008;99:344-350)
SUMMARY
The fabrication of an implant-supported maxillary obturator prosthesis and mandibular overdentures for a maxillectomy patient with a severe limitation in the oral opening is described.
