ABSTRACT

To improve the molar relationship in maxillary protrusion cases, treatment frequently involves the combined use of extra-oral anchorage appliances, class II intermaxillary elastics, and multi-bracket appliances. Treatment strategies, since the treatment results are influenced by the patient's willingness to cooperate, and great effort and understanding are required on behalf of the patient in achieving good results. In this paper, we report 4 cases in which improvement in the molar relationship was poor due to insufficient use of intermaxillary elastics. Angle Class II molar relationship was fervid to show as improvement with use of fixed-type Forsus FreD-DPR.
