ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study was to identify differences between students with and without Internet skills in utilization of WWW-based educational materials. We gave a questionnaire to third-year students at Tokyo Dental College regarding Internet utilization, purposes of Internet utilization, frequency of use of Web-based educational materials, and their usefulness as learning materials. The results were analyzed using a binomial logistic regression model to determine whether skill in using the Internet as a whole affected the student's ability to efficiently use "the educational WWW of Complete Denture Prosthodontics" site. No correlation was found between student's ability to efficiently use "the educational WWW of Complete Denture Prosthodontics" site and duration of use of Internet, location of its use. Or hours of use per week. On the other hand, significant correlations were found between student's ability to efficiently use "the educational WWW of Complete Denture Prosthodontics" site and utilization of Internet news. use of other Internet-based educational materials in learning, or their usefulness.
